Sales Executive

Philippines Shangri-La ₱25,000–₱45,000 per month, plus possible incentives and benefits*
Job Description

The Sales Executive supports Shangri-La’s hotel sales strategy by developing client relationships, promoting rooms, events and related services, preparing proposals, conducting site visits and meeting revenue targets. Candidates typically need a degree or diploma in hospitality, business, marketing or a related field, together with previous hotel sales, corporate sales or customer-service experience. Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and follow-up skills are expected. The role requires professional grooming, commercial awareness, good knowledge of the local market and the ability to work independently while coordinating with reservations, events and operations teams. Flexibility to attend client meetings, networking activities and occasional work outside normal office hours is also important.

Company Info

Shangri-La Group is a major luxury hospitality company headquartered in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. Its portfolio includes Shangri-La, Traders, Kerry Hotels and JEN properties. The group is known for Asian-inspired hospitality, attentive service, upscale accommodation, restaurants, meetings and events, and wellness facilities. In the Philippines, Shangri-La operates established properties such as Shangri-La The Fort in Bonifacio Global City and Shangri-La Mactan in Cebu, serving leisure travellers, business guests and local events. Employees generally work in a multicultural environment with structured hospitality standards, training opportunities and customer-focused performance expectations. Sales staff contribute by building corporate and leisure accounts, promoting hotel facilities and supporting occupancy, event and revenue goals.

Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality, tourism, sales and customer-service opportunities in Metro Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao and other destinations. Manila is the main business centre, while Cebu and resort islands provide a more relaxed lifestyle and strong tourism employment. Filipino culture is warm, family-oriented and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Living costs vary considerably: Manila and major resort areas are more expensive than provincial locations. New arrivals should budget for accommodation, transport, health insurance and deposits. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly an Alien Employment Permit together with a 9(g) work visa; requirements can change, so confirmation with the employer and Philippine immigration authorities is essential. Local employees normally need standard employment documents and tax registration. Island travel is convenient but can involve seasonal weather, ferry delays and limited services outside urban centres.
