Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across major islands, especially Luzon, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan and Mindanao. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, cruise businesses and tourism companies regularly recruit supervisors, trainers and operational staff. Manila provides the largest corporate and luxury-hotel market, while Cebu, Boracay and Palawan offer resort-based lifestyles. Filipino culture is warm, community-oriented and strongly influenced by family, faith, music and English-language communication. Living costs vary considerably: Manila and popular resort islands are more expensive than provincial areas. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work visa or permit before working legally; requirements depend on nationality and contract, and the employer often assists with applications. Candidates should confirm accommodation, transportation, medical coverage, taxes and visa sponsorship before relocating. Seasonal weather, including typhoons in some regions, should also be considered.
