Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Davao and other tourism destinations. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, travel companies and business-service centres regularly recruit in revenue management, reservations, finance, food and beverage, guest services and events. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in Manila to a slower beach-oriented pace in islands such as Boracay or Palawan. Costs are usually lower outside Manila, although central districts and resort areas can be expensive. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work visa or permit, while requirements depend on nationality, contract and role; applicants should confirm details with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and the employer. Relocation planning should include accommodation, health insurance, transport, taxes and local registration. Domestic flights and ferries connect the main islands, but travel times can be affected by weather.
