Job Description

The Procurement or Assistant Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating with suppliers, monitoring costs, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring that hotel departments receive quality products on time. Candidates typically need a diploma or degree in procurement, supply chain management, business, hospitality, or a related field, together with relevant purchasing experience, preferably in a hotel or resort. Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organisational skills are expected. Familiarity with procurement systems, inventory controls, supplier evaluation, and Malaysian purchasing practices is advantageous. The role also requires integrity, attention to detail, commercial awareness, and the ability to work under pressure while supporting Shangri-La's quality and sustainability standards.
