The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, cash control, audits and compliance with Shangri-La policies and Malaysian regulations. Candidates should have a degree or professional qualification in accounting, relevant hotel or hospitality finance experience, and strong knowledge of accounting systems, internal controls and financial reporting. Experience with Opera, SunSystems or similar platforms is advantageous. The role requires leadership, accuracy, commercial awareness and the ability to work closely with department heads and senior management. The successful candidate is expected to protect company assets, deliver timely financial information, support business decisions and maintain high standards of integrity and confidentiality.
