Job Description

The Engineer/Senior Engineer supports the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of hotel facilities, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-safety and building systems. Responsibilities typically include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, contractor coordination, work-order reporting and compliance with Shangri-La standards and Singapore regulations. Candidates should have a relevant technical certificate, diploma or engineering qualification, practical hotel, commercial-building or facilities experience, and sound knowledge of building services. Senior applicants are expected to guide junior technicians, prioritize faults, manage vendors and respond effectively to emergencies. Shift work, weekends and public-holiday duty may be required. Strong safety awareness, communication skills, teamwork, reliability and a guest-focused attitude are important.
