Housekeeping Runner (房務部用品遞送員)

Hong Kong Shangri-La HK$14,000–HK$18,000 per month*
Job Description

The Housekeeping Runner supports the housekeeping team by delivering linen, guest supplies, amenities, uniforms, and cleaning materials to guestrooms and service areas. The role requires physical fitness, the ability to push carts and lift supplies, good organization, reliability, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is helpful but may not be essential. Candidates should provide friendly and efficient service, follow hotel hygiene and safety procedures, keep storage and service areas orderly, and respond promptly to requests from room attendants and supervisors. Cantonese communication is useful in Hong Kong, while basic English is generally expected in an international hotel environment.

Company Info

Shangri-La is an international luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and recognized for its hotels, resorts, and service-focused guest experience. The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and other destinations under the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN, and Traders brands. Shangri-La hotels typically emphasize warm Asian hospitality, high service standards, refined accommodation, dining, wellness, and business facilities. In Hong Kong, the company has a strong presence and offers roles across rooms, food and beverage, engineering, administration, and guest services. Employees commonly work in a structured hotel environment with department training, uniform standards, shift schedules, and opportunities to develop within the wider hospitality group. Exact benefits, service charges, staff meals, and career progression depend on the specific property and employment contract.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers broad opportunities in hotels, restaurants, retail, finance, logistics, technology, healthcare, and tourism. Hospitality jobs are concentrated in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and resort areas such as Lantau and the New Territories. The culture blends Cantonese traditions, international influences, festivals, excellent food, and a fast, practical working style. Life is convenient but busy, with efficient MTR transport, ferries, buses, hiking trails, beaches, and extensive shopping. Rent can be expensive, so new arrivals often share accommodation or live farther from central districts. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored employment visa before starting work; applications usually require a valid job offer, suitable qualifications or experience, and proof that the role meets immigration requirements. Employers may assist with documentation, but approval is decided by Hong Kong Immigration. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, and visa support before relocating.
