Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. It offers extensive opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events, and luxury services, making it attractive for hospitality professionals. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international population; respectful dress and behavior are important. Lifestyle can be modern and active, with beaches, shopping malls, desert excursions, dining, and cultural attractions, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally arrange an employment visa, work permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID for overseas hires. Many hotel jobs include accommodation, meals, transport, health insurance, and flights. Before relocating, candidates should confirm contract terms, probation rules, working hours, living arrangements, and any recruitment fees. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are convenient but relatively expensive, while other emirates may offer lower living costs.
