Destination Guide

The Philippines offers varied hospitality opportunities across Boracay, Palawan, Cebu, Bohol, Siargao, and major cities such as Manila. Resorts commonly recruit chefs, restaurant staff, housekeeping teams, front-office personnel, engineers, and wellness specialists, with stronger hiring during peak travel seasons. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and community-minded; English is widely used in hotels and workplaces. Island living can provide beaches, outdoor activities, fresh seafood, and a relaxed pace, although transport, healthcare access, internet reliability, and shopping can be more limited than in cities. Local costs vary considerably by island and resort area. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and an appropriate work visa, commonly a 9(g) visa; requirements should be confirmed with the employer and Philippine immigration authorities. Arrange accommodation, insurance, document authentication, and medical checks before relocating.
