Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal city living, beaches and resort destinations across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and other emirates. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, catering, retail and events provide many job opportunities, especially for trained international workers. The culture is modern and multicultural while remaining grounded in Islamic traditions; respectful clothing and behaviour are expected in public and during Ramadan. Lifestyle options range from luxury shopping and dining to desert activities, water sports and a busy social scene. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, residence permits and medical checks, but workers should confirm all terms before travelling. Accommodation and transport are often provided for hotel staff. Relocation requires passport validity, document attestation where applicable, budgeting for personal expenses and adapting to hot summers, shared housing and a regulated working environment.
