Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hotels, finance, tourism, retail, aviation, technology and professional services. For an income auditor, the main employment hubs are Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and major hotel districts such as Tsim Sha Tsui, Admiralty and Causeway Bay. The culture combines Cantonese traditions, international influences, efficient business practices and a fast pace of life. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, hiking trails and waterfront areas, although housing can be expensive and space is limited. Overseas candidates generally need an employment visa sponsored by a Hong Kong employer, with approval based on qualifications, a confirmed job and a suitable salary. Relocation costs, rental deposits, medical coverage and tax arrangements should be considered. English is widely used in international hotels, while Cantonese or Mandarin can improve workplace integration and career prospects.
