Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and other resort destinations, particularly in hotels, restaurants, diving, wellness, and tourism services. Boracay and Palawan provide a relaxed island lifestyle, beautiful beaches, water activities, and a strong international visitor community, although living costs in resort areas can be higher than in provincial towns. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and community-minded, while English is widely used in workplaces. Employees should expect a tropical climate, seasonal rains, busy peak periods, and a generally casual lifestyle outside work. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, while Filipino applicants should confirm local employment and relocation arrangements. Before moving, check accommodation, transport, healthcare, salary deductions, and whether meals, flights, or service charge are included.
