Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities throughout Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya and other island destinations. Resorts regularly recruit chefs, pastry specialists, restaurant staff, housekeeping teams, front-office employees, wellness practitioners and managers. Island life is generally warm, relaxed and community-oriented, with beaches, water activities, markets and strong local food traditions. Costs vary: Phuket and Koh Samui can be relatively expensive, while smaller islands may have fewer services and housing choices. Thai culture values politeness, respect, family, Buddhism and saving face; learning basic Thai is helpful. Foreign employees normally require an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before working legally. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation, meals, transport or relocation, but benefits differ by property. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, housing, insurance, contract terms and visa support before accepting an offer.
