Destination Guide

Malaysia offers hospitality opportunities in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Sabah, Sarawak, and coastal resort destinations. F&B managers can find work in luxury hotels, island resorts, restaurants, convention venues, and cruise or tourism businesses. The culture is multicultural, combining Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences; English is widely used in hotels, while Malay is the national language. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living to relaxed beach or nature-based communities, with generally affordable food and transport outside prime tourist areas. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit, commonly an Employment Pass, before starting work; the employer usually manages the application and eligibility requirements. Relocation costs, accommodation, medical checks, and dependent arrangements should be confirmed in the offer. Candidates should verify current immigration rules, salary conditions, and local employment requirements with the employer or Malaysian authorities.
