Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities in destinations such as Boracay, Cebu, Bohol, Palawan, Siargao, and the major resort areas of Mindanao and Luzon. Jobs are commonly available in hotels, restaurants, beach clubs, diving operations, wellness centers, and tour companies, with stronger demand during peak travel seasons. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and strongly influenced by Spanish, American, and Asian traditions; English is widely used in tourism. Island living usually means warm weather, relaxed communities, outdoor activities, and a lower cost of living than many international destinations, although imported goods and housing in popular resorts can be expensive. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and a Philippine work visa, commonly a 9(g) visa. Employers usually assist with applications, but requirements should be confirmed with immigration authorities before relocating.
