Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal city living, beaches and easy access to islands such as Yas Island, Saadiyat Island and Palm Jumeirah. Dubai and Abu Dhabi provide strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, events, aviation, retail, finance and technology, with particularly active demand for MICE professionals. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic customs and a highly international population. Respectful dress and behaviour are expected, especially during Ramadan. Lifestyle options range from luxury dining and shopping to desert excursions, water sports and vibrant entertainment. Employers usually sponsor an employment visa, medical examination, Emirates ID and residency formalities, although requirements can change. Relocation packages may include accommodation or allowances, flights and health insurance, depending on the contract. Living costs, especially rent, can be high, so candidates should clarify benefits, probation terms and end-of-service arrangements before accepting an offer.
