Destination Guide

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, particularly in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and Siargao. Resort islands provide roles in revenue management, front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, sales, diving, and guest activities, while Manila offers broader corporate and hotel opportunities. Filipino culture is friendly, family-oriented, and service-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Island life can be relaxed and community-based, with beaches, outdoor activities, and lower living costs than many international destinations, although transport, internet reliability, and seasonal weather vary. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate Philippine work permit or visa; visitors should not work on a tourist visa. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation, airport transfers, and relocation, but this should be confirmed before accepting an offer. Candidates should also budget for local transport, health insurance, and typhoon-related travel disruptions.
