Job Description

The Senior Events Manager is responsible for planning, selling, coordinating and delivering meetings, conferences, weddings and other events to Shangri-La standards. Candidates typically need a degree or diploma in hospitality, business or a related field, along with several years of hotel events, catering or banqueting experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role. Strong communication, negotiation, budgeting and organizational skills are essential. The successful candidate is expected to build client relationships, develop event proposals, meet revenue targets, coordinate with operations teams, manage suppliers and resolve issues professionally. Flexibility, attention to detail, commercial awareness and the ability to work under pressure, including evenings, weekends and holidays, are important.
