Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are common in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering, tourism, aviation, and events, particularly for experienced international candidates. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly diverse expatriate community; modest dress and respect for Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle can be modern and comfortable, with excellent dining, shopping, beaches, and entertainment, although summer temperatures are extremely hot. Most expatriate employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas, with the company usually arranging medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and permits. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, healthcare, flights, and annual leave. Candidates should confirm benefits, working hours, gratuity, and accommodation arrangements before accepting an offer.
