Sales Coordinator

Hong Kong Shangri-La HK$18,000–HK$25,000 per month*
Job Description

The Sales Coordinator supports Shangri-La’s sales team by preparing proposals, contracts, reports and presentations, maintaining client records, coordinating appointments and responding to enquiries. The role typically requires a diploma or degree in hospitality, business or a related field, along with relevant hotel sales or administrative experience. Strong organisation, communication and follow-up skills are essential, as is confidence using Microsoft Office and hotel systems. Candidates should be detail-oriented, professional, commercially aware and able to manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is expected; Cantonese and Mandarin are valuable for working with local and regional clients.

Shangri-La employs colleagues in a wide range of roles, including guest services, food and beverage, sales, finance, engineering and corporate support. In Hong Kong, the group has a strong presence and serves leisure travellers, business guests, events and international organisations. The company also promotes professional development and internal career opportunities across its regional hotel network.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, events, retail, finance, technology and international business. The culture blends Cantonese traditions with global influences, and workplaces are generally energetic, formal and multicultural. Life is convenient but fast-paced: public transport is excellent, food options are diverse, and beaches, hiking trails and outlying islands provide an easy escape from the city. Rent can be high, especially on Hong Kong Island and in Kowloon, so many newcomers share accommodation or live in the New Territories. Most overseas professionals need an employment visa sponsored by their employer; the company normally provides supporting documents, while applicants must show suitable qualifications and experience. Dependants may usually apply under the dependant visa scheme. Before relocating, budget for housing, deposits, insurance and daily expenses, and check current Immigration Department requirements. Cantonese is useful socially, while English is widely used in professional and hospitality settings.
