Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, retail, finance, technology, and healthcare. Its culture blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and international influences, reflected in its languages, festivals, food, and neighbourhoods. The lifestyle is safe, efficient, clean, and urban, with excellent public transport, shopping, parks, beaches, and dining options. Living costs are high, especially rent, so employer accommodation or shared housing can be valuable. Foreign employees generally need a work pass sponsored by an employer; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, and the role, with options including the Employment Pass and S Pass. Candidates should secure a written offer before relocating, check medical and immigration requirements, and budget for deposits, transport, insurance, and daily expenses.
