Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, modern island city with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, finance, technology and healthcare. Hotel jobs are available across luxury properties, restaurants, resorts and event venues, although competition can be high. The culture is multicultural, orderly and generally welcoming, with English widely used at work and in daily life. Singapore offers excellent public transport, reliable services, diverse food and a safe urban lifestyle. Housing can be expensive, especially in central areas, so newcomers often share accommodation or live farther from the city centre. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass or S Pass; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications and government requirements. Candidates should confirm the approved pass before relocating. Medical insurance, transport costs and work schedules should also be discussed with the employer.
