Job Description

The Assistant Chief Steward Manager supports the efficient operation of the hotel’s stewarding department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation and service support for kitchens, restaurants and banquet areas. Requirements typically include previous experience in hotel or luxury hospitality stewarding, supervisory or management skills, sound knowledge of food-safety procedures, and the ability to train and motivate colleagues. The successful candidate is expected to coordinate daily duties, control equipment and chemical usage, maintain health and safety standards, manage staffing levels, and work closely with culinary and food-and-beverage teams. Flexibility, strong organisation, physical stamina and a professional, hands-on approach are essential.
