Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf country rather than a single island, offering hospitality opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and other tourism centres. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, beach clubs, and event venues regularly recruit international staff. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large expatriate community; modest dress, respect for religion, and courteous behaviour are important. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping, desert excursions, water sports, museums, and vibrant international dining. Employers commonly arrange an employment visa, medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, and insurance. Employees should not work on a tourist visa. Relocation costs, contract terms, gratuities, working hours, and accommodation conditions should be confirmed before accepting an offer. Living costs vary considerably, with Dubai generally more expensive than other emirates. Public transport is convenient in major cities, while workplace accommodation may be shared.
