Destination Guide

The Philippines is an archipelago with strong employment opportunities in hotels, resorts, property management, engineering, tourism, business services, and hospitality support. Manila and Cebu offer larger urban job markets, while Boracay, Palawan, Bohol, and other resort areas provide seasonal and year-round tourism roles. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal communities; costs are generally lower than in many Western countries, though central Manila can be expensive. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and an appropriate work visa, commonly a 9(g) commercial employment visa. Employers usually guide successful candidates through immigration, medical, and onboarding requirements. Applicants should confirm housing, transportation, insurance, taxes, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
