Company Info

UOB Thailand is part of United Overseas Bank, a major Asian bank headquartered in Singapore. The group provides consumer and commercial banking, wealth management, investment banking, digital banking, and financial services across key markets in Asia. In Thailand, UOB serves individuals, affluent customers, businesses, and multinational companies through branches, digital channels, and specialist teams. Its consumer banking business offers products including deposits, credit cards, personal loans, home loans, and insurance-related services. Following its acquisition of Citigroup’s consumer banking operations in Thailand, UOB expanded its customer base and product reach in the country. A mortgage telesales employee would support the bank’s home-loan growth by engaging customers, explaining suitable financing options, and coordinating applications with internal credit and operations teams.

Destination Guide

Thailand offers diverse work and relocation options, especially in Bangkok, where banking, finance, technology, hospitality, education, and international business jobs are concentrated. Phuket, Koh Samui, and other islands provide opportunities in tourism, hotels, restaurants, property, wellness, and remote-work services, although professional banking roles are more commonly based in Bangkok. Thai culture values politeness, respect for hierarchy, hospitality, and flexibility. Life can be affordable compared with many major cities, with excellent food, public transport in Bangkok, warm weather, beaches, and a lively social scene. Foreign employees generally need a Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit sponsored by an employer; requirements vary by nationality and position. Relocating staff should arrange certified documents, health insurance, accommodation, tax registration, and realistic transport plans. Learning basic Thai is highly useful for daily life and customer-facing work. Coastal areas offer a relaxed lifestyle, but seasonal storms, humidity, and tourism-driven costs should be considered.
