Job Description

The Registered Midwife provides safe, evidence-based care across the delivery suite, antenatal services and postnatal period. Responsibilities include assessing mothers and newborns, supporting normal births, identifying and escalating complications, assisting with emergency procedures, administering medications, maintaining clinical records and educating families. Candidates should hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia through AHPRA, have relevant midwifery experience, and demonstrate sound clinical judgement, communication and teamwork. Current immunisation evidence, professional referees, police and working-with-children checks may be required. The role demands flexibility for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays, as well as a compassionate, culturally sensitive and safety-focused approach.
