Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in construction, infrastructure, engineering, healthcare, technology, education and professional services, particularly in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and regional growth areas. Workplace culture is generally practical, direct and team-oriented, with high expectations for safety, punctuality and communication. Lifestyle options range from busy city living to beaches, national parks and regional communities. Housing and transport costs can be high in major cities, especially Sydney. Work rights depend on the visa: skilled, employer-sponsored, temporary graduate, working holiday and permanent migration pathways may be available, subject to eligibility and occupation requirements. New arrivals should arrange health insurance, tax registration, banking, accommodation and a local phone service. Australia’s large distances and varied climate make location and commuting important considerations when planning relocation.
