Job Description

The Telephone Operator manages incoming and internal calls, transfers guests to the correct departments, records messages, responds to basic enquiries, and supports hotel communication standards. Candidates should have clear spoken English, a polite telephone manner, good listening and organizational skills, and basic computer knowledge. Previous experience in a hotel switchboard, front office, or guest-service role is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to remain calm under pressure, protect guest confidentiality, communicate accurately, maintain a professional tone, and provide prompt, friendly service. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required in a resort environment. Additional languages and familiarity with hotel telephone or property-management systems would be beneficial.
