Destination Guide

Spain’s main island destinations include the Balearic Islands—Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca—and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Hospitality provides many opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, wellness and seasonal tourism, with stronger recruitment before the summer season. The culture combines relaxed Mediterranean or Atlantic lifestyles, local festivals, seafood, outdoor dining and strong community traditions. Living costs vary: Ibiza, Mallorca’s prime areas and popular Canary locations can be expensive, while smaller towns are more affordable. EU citizens can work with normal registration requirements. Non-EU applicants generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and suitable visa before starting employment. Relocation planning should include accommodation, transport, health coverage, tax registration and Spanish language basics. W Barcelona itself is in mainland Barcelona, but its coastal lifestyle is similar to Spain’s island resort markets.
