Job Description

The Pastry Junior Sous Chef supports the pastry kitchen in preparing high-quality breads, desserts, cakes and other baked products while maintaining Marriott’s food safety and presentation standards. Candidates are expected to have professional pastry or bakery experience, preferably in a hotel or luxury hospitality environment, along with culinary training and strong knowledge of ingredients, production methods and hygiene procedures. The role requires leadership ability, creativity, attention to detail and the confidence to supervise and coach team members. The successful candidate should manage production efficiently, control waste and costs, coordinate with other kitchen sections, and remain calm during busy service periods. Flexibility for shifts, weekends and holidays is essential.
