Destination Guide

Malaysia offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, events, retail, technology, finance and education, with Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya serving as major employment centres. The country combines Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous cultures, creating a diverse food, festival and social scene. Daily life is relatively affordable compared with many global cities, with modern malls, efficient ride-hailing, tropical weather and easy access to beaches, islands and highlands. Malaysia is not a single island destination; it includes a peninsula and Borneo states, plus popular islands such as Langkawi, Penang and Tioman. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, and the company must handle the relevant approval process before work begins. Applicants should confirm salary, housing, insurance, relocation support and visa eligibility directly with the employer.
