Job Description

The Engineering Technician supports the hotel’s day-to-day maintenance and engineering operations. Responsibilities typically include inspecting, repairing and maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and general building systems; responding to guest and departmental requests; completing preventive maintenance; recording work orders; and following safety procedures. Candidates should have relevant technical training or vocational qualifications, practical experience in hotel, facilities or building maintenance, and a working understanding of engineering systems. The role requires troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, physical fitness, reliability and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Good communication and customer-service skills are expected, together with the ability to work independently and as part of a multicultural team.
