This six-month Human Resources internship supports the people function at The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Lombok, from 2 November 2026 to 2 May 2027. Typical responsibilities may include assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, training coordination, staff engagement activities, HR administration and internal communication. Candidates should be studying hospitality, human resources, business or a related subject, with an interest in luxury hotel operations. Good communication, organisation, discretion, teamwork and basic computer skills are expected. The successful intern should be professional, service-minded, adaptable and comfortable working in a multicultural resort environment. Previous hospitality or administrative experience is useful but may not be essential.

Lombok is generally quieter and less developed than Bali, with beaches, waterfalls, traditional villages and a relaxed lifestyle. Local culture is strongly influenced by Sasak traditions and Islam, so modest dress, respectful behaviour and sensitivity during religious events are important. Living costs can be manageable, although accommodation near luxury resorts may be higher. International interns normally need an appropriate Indonesian visa or stay permit arranged with the employer or an authorised sponsor; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Confirm eligibility, duration, sponsorship, insurance and accommodation before travelling. Expect a warm tropical climate, seasonal rain, motorbike-based transport and limited services in some areas. Learning basic Indonesian is highly useful for daily life and workplace relationships.
