Destination Guide

Malaysia offers varied hospitality, tourism, sales and service opportunities, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and other resort destinations. Sabah, on Borneo, is known for islands, beaches, diving, rainforest, Mount Kinabalu and a relaxed multicultural lifestyle. Malaysia combines Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous cultures, with diverse food, festivals and generally affordable living outside central Kuala Lumpur. English is widely used in hotels and business, while Malay is the national language. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass arranged before starting work; eligibility depends on salary, qualifications and current immigration rules. Relocation packages vary, so candidates should confirm accommodation, insurance, flights, tax and visa support. Kota Kinabalu offers a slower coastal lifestyle, while Kuala Lumpur provides stronger transport, networking and career opportunities.
