Company Info

Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, operating and franchising a broad portfolio of hotels, resorts, residences, and timeshare properties worldwide. Its brands include Marriott Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, W Hotels, Westin, Sheraton, Renaissance, and many others. Marriott employs hundreds of thousands of people across corporate offices and hotel operations, with a strong focus on guest service, inclusion, professional development, and internal career mobility. The Voyage Program is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals, combining practical hotel or corporate experience with structured learning and mentorship. The Tokyo Area Office & Customer Engagement Center provides regional business and guest-support functions.

Destination Guide

Japan offers varied opportunities in hotels, tourism, restaurants, corporate services, technology, education, and international business. Tokyo provides the broadest career market and excellent public transport, while Osaka, Kyoto, Okinawa, and Hokkaido offer strong hospitality and lifestyle options. Japanese workplace culture generally values punctuality, respect, teamwork, hierarchy, and careful attention to detail. Living costs are high in Tokyo but manageable with staff housing, shared accommodation, or employer support. Visa arrangements depend on nationality and contract: eligible graduates may use an employer-sponsored work visa, while some participants may qualify for a working-holiday or designated-activities visa. Marriott must confirm sponsorship and eligibility before arrival. Applicants should prepare passport documents, qualifications, a Certificate of Eligibility where required, health insurance, and sufficient relocation funds. Learning basic Japanese is highly recommended for daily life and workplace integration.
