Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island and a major hospitality destination. The country offers many opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, technology, and finance, especially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. UAE culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest dress, courtesy, and respect for Islamic customs are important. Dubai provides modern housing, public transport, beaches, shopping, entertainment, and a warm desert climate, though rent and summer temperatures can be high. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit before starting work. Employers often arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and transport or accommodation for hospitality roles. Candidates should verify salary, service charges, accommodation, working hours, probation terms, airfare, insurance, and visa sponsorship in writing before relocating.
