Job Description

The Chief Steward leads the kitchen stewarding team and ensures all kitchens, service areas, equipment and utensils are clean, hygienic and properly maintained. Typical requirements include previous stewarding or hotel kitchen experience, supervisory ability, knowledge of food-safety and sanitation standards, good organization, physical stamina and the ability to work flexible shifts, weekends and public holidays. The successful candidate is expected to schedule and train staff, monitor cleaning standards, control supplies, coordinate with chefs and engineering teams, reduce breakages and support smooth restaurant and banquet operations. A professional attitude, attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to work effectively in a busy resort environment are important.
