Job Description

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for keeping the hotel’s building systems, equipment and facilities safe, reliable and operational. Candidates should have relevant engineering, building services or facilities-management experience, preferably in a hotel or commercial property. Practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection and preventive-maintenance systems is expected. The role requires strong troubleshooting, planning, budgeting and contractor-management skills, together with an understanding of health, safety and local compliance requirements. The successful candidate will lead engineering colleagues, coordinate planned and emergency repairs, control maintenance costs, maintain accurate records and support a comfortable guest experience. Flexibility, sound communication, leadership and the ability to respond to operational issues outside normal hours are important.
