The Purchasing Assistant supports hotel procurement by sourcing approved goods, comparing quotations, preparing purchase orders, maintaining supplier records, checking deliveries, and coordinating with finance, stores, kitchens, and operating departments. Candidates are generally expected to have a diploma or relevant experience in purchasing, administration, hospitality, or supply chain operations. Good numerical ability, computer skills, attention to detail, organization, and communication are important. Familiarity with procurement systems, inventory procedures, invoices, and local suppliers is helpful.
