Job Description

The Seasonal Pastry Cook prepares pastries, desserts, breads and other baked products to Fairmont standards. Responsibilities include following recipes, measuring ingredients accurately, decorating and presenting desserts, maintaining food quality, supporting daily kitchen production and keeping work areas clean and hygienic. Candidates should have professional pastry or bakery experience, sound knowledge of food safety and sanitation, good knife and equipment skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy luxury-hotel kitchen. Flexibility is essential, as the role may involve early mornings, weekends, holidays and changing seasonal demands. A culinary qualification and previous hotel or resort experience are advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to be dependable, creative, detail-oriented, well presented and able to work cooperatively within a multicultural team.
