Destination Guide

New Zealand offers hospitality opportunities across both the North and South Islands, especially in Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown, Christchurch, Rotorua and regional resort areas. Hotels, restaurants, tourism operators and event venues regularly seek experienced supervisors and managers, although competition can be strong. The country has a relaxed, inclusive culture, excellent natural scenery and an outdoor lifestyle featuring beaches, hiking, skiing and water activities. Auckland is the largest and most diverse city, with good transport, dining and international connections, but housing costs can be high. Depending on nationality and circumstances, applicants may use a Working Holiday Visa, Accredited Employer Work Visa or another suitable pathway. A job offer, health and character checks, and evidence of qualifications or experience may be required. Candidates should confirm current immigration rules with Immigration New Zealand and budget carefully for accommodation, transport and initial living costs.
