Job Description

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for keeping hotel facilities, plant, equipment and guest areas safe, functional and well presented. Requirements typically include practical experience in hotel, commercial or building maintenance, basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general repairs, sound workplace safety awareness, and the ability to respond to maintenance requests efficiently. A trade qualification is advantageous but may not be essential. The successful candidate is expected to work reliably, complete preventative maintenance, record faults and repairs, support contractors, respond professionally to guests and colleagues, and work flexibly across a rotating roster, including weekends or evenings when required.
