Job Description

The Chef de Partie (Pastry) is responsible for preparing pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked products according to Mercure’s recipes and quality standards. Candidates should have professional pastry or bakery experience, sound knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, sanitation, portion control, and kitchen safety. A culinary qualification is advantageous, while hotel or high-volume restaurant experience is preferred. The successful candidate is expected to maintain consistent quality, organize mise en place, control ingredients, minimize waste, support menu preparation, and work efficiently during busy service periods. Teamwork, creativity, discipline, attention to detail, physical stamina, and willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays are important.
