The General Manager will lead the opening and ongoing operation of Tribe Auckland Fort Street, overseeing guest experience, financial performance, sales, staffing, compliance and day-to-day hotel operations. Candidates are expected to have proven senior leadership experience in hotels or a comparable hospitality business, strong commercial and budgeting skills, and the ability to build an engaged, service-focused team. Experience with hotel openings, Accor systems, operational standards and the New Zealand market would be advantageous. The role requires an energetic, hands-on leader who can represent the Tribe brand, develop local partnerships, manage stakeholders and deliver consistently high standards in a fast-changing urban environment.

New Zealand offers hospitality, tourism, construction, healthcare, technology, agriculture and skilled-trade opportunities, with Auckland providing the broadest urban job market. The country is multicultural, generally relaxed and friendly, and values direct communication, work-life balance and outdoor activities. Auckland has a mild coastal climate, diverse dining, beaches and easy access to hiking and regional travel, although housing and living costs can be high. Eligible applicants may use an Accredited Employer Work Visa when sponsored by an accredited employer, while working-holiday, skilled-residence and partner pathways may suit others. Requirements depend on nationality, age, occupation, qualifications and employment terms, so applicants should check Immigration New Zealand before travelling. Relocating usually involves arranging accommodation, a tax number, bank account, healthcare cover and proof of work rights. Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown also offer strong tourism and hospitality employment.
