Hotel Accountant

Job Description

The Hotel Accountant supports the financial operations of Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort, including daily reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, cash controls, payroll support, month-end reporting, budgeting and compliance. Candidates are generally expected to have accounting experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment, sound knowledge of Australian financial practices, strong attention to detail and confidence using accounting and property-management systems. A relevant accounting qualification or progress toward one is advantageous. The successful candidate should be organised, trustworthy and comfortable working with department managers, suppliers and the hotel leadership team. Good communication skills, problem-solving ability and the capacity to meet reporting deadlines are important.
