Destination Guide

Qatar is a peninsula rather than an island, while Qetaifan Island North is a developing destination in Lusail. Job opportunities are strongest in hospitality, construction, aviation, retail, healthcare, education, finance, and technology. Qatar’s culture blends Islamic traditions with a highly international workforce; respectful dress, punctuality, and sensitivity during Ramadan are important. Lifestyle is modern and generally safe, with malls, beaches, restaurants, museums, sports venues, and desert activities available. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air-conditioned transport are central to daily life. Employers usually arrange a work visa and residence permit after hiring, with medical checks and document attestation commonly required. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, health insurance, flights, and annual leave, but these benefits should be confirmed in the contract. Employees should budget for housing if accommodation is not provided and verify sponsorship, probation, notice, and family-visa terms before relocating.
