Job Description

The Telephone Operator manages hotel telephone communications, answers and transfers calls, takes accurate messages, provides basic information about hotel services, and supports guest requests professionally. Candidates should have strong spoken English, a polite telephone manner, good listening and communication skills, and basic computer knowledge. Previous experience in a hotel switchboard, reception, or customer-service role is preferred. The successful candidate is expected to remain calm under pressure, protect guest confidentiality, record messages accurately, respond promptly, and coordinate effectively with other departments. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is normally required. Knowledge of additional languages and familiarity with hotel systems would be an advantage.
