Destination Guide

Spain’s main island destinations include the Balearic Islands, such as Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, and the Canary Islands, including Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Tourism creates regular opportunities in hotels, restaurants, housekeeping, reception, events, wellness and watersports, although many roles are seasonal and competition is higher in popular resorts. Island culture blends Spanish traditions with distinctive local food, festivals, music and relaxed social life. Lifestyle offers sunshine, beaches and outdoor activities, but accommodation can be expensive and limited during peak season. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens generally need no work visa, but must register locally and obtain the relevant identification. Non-EU applicants require a work and residence permit arranged with an employer before starting. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, meals, transport and relocation support are included in the offer. Fairmont La Hacienda is on mainland Cádiz, not the Spanish islands.
