Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and resort islands in destinations such as the Riau Islands and eastern Indonesia. Bali is the most internationally oriented, with a relaxed lifestyle, strong tourism culture, and a large expatriate community. Jakarta and Surabaya provide broader corporate and urban career options, while resort locations offer quieter surroundings and closer community life. Indonesian culture places high value on respect, hospitality, family, and religious diversity; modest dress and sensitivity to local customs are important. Living costs vary considerably, with Bali and Jakarta generally more expensive than smaller cities. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and KITAS, and should not work on a tourist visa. Confirm sponsorship, accommodation, taxation, healthcare, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
